Roofing for Glendale — Arrowhead tile, downtown foam and the hail that keeps coming
Glendale's roofs span 1950s foam downtown to 2000s tile in Arrowhead Ranch, and the city took hail in November 2025 and an 80 mph downburst in August 2026. We repair, re-felt and document.
Glendale is thirteen miles east-southeast of Surprise and the West Valley's biggest city — about 260,000 people from the 1950s–60s grid around downtown and Grand Avenue, past Luke Air Force Base, up to Arrowhead Ranch and the 1990s–2000s subdivisions around the Arrowhead Towne Center and the Loop 101, with State Farm Stadium and the Westgate district on the west side. The roofs follow the map: foam, built-up and old shingles on the downtown grid and the mid-century neighborhoods, tile over felt on everything built since the late 1980s, which is most of the north and west.
Glendale has also had a rough couple of years for roofs. The November 19–20, 2025 storm covered streets in hail and collapsed part of a mall roof at Desert Sky; the August 9–10, 2026 downburst hit Glendale at 80 mph, sheared the roofs off mobile homes at Palm Shadows and knocked out power to 52,000. Add the Arrowhead Ranch tile tracts reaching the underlayment milestone and the downtown foam that needs its recoats, and there's plenty to do. We handle felt inspections and lift-and-relays in Arrowhead and the north-side tracts, storm documentation and repairs across the city, and foam and shingle work on the older homes. The City of Glendale permits through its Building Safety division; like-for-like work is generally exempt.

Questions from Glendale homeowners
Can hail damage a tile roof?
Yes — the November 2025 and August 2026 storms both cracked tile corners and edges across Glendale. A cracked tile doesn't leak that day; it exposes the felt, which leaks the next storm. We count and photograph the cracked tiles so the claim is clean.
My Arrowhead Ranch roof is from 1996. Is it on the clock?
Yes. Felt under tile from the mid-1990s is at the end of its life. A free inspection lifts a few tiles and tells you whether it's this year or soon.
The adjuster says my damage is wear and tear.
Then the documentation matters. We separate the storm damage — cracked corners, lifted ridges, punctured foam, dented soft metals — from the age of the roof, with dated photos, and meet the adjuster to walk it. We can't negotiate the claim, but we can make sure they see what we saw.
Do you do mobile home roofs?
Repairs and over-roofs on manufactured homes, yes — the August 2026 downburst sheared several at Palm Shadows, and we tarped and repaired through that week.
